I know what LD means here. I haven’t spoken to her or so I wouldn’t know what her voice sounds like. But, I DO know the affect a mere voice could do. Not the things spoken, the voice itself!
That reminded me of her. (again)
My ex’s, [L] voice was MAGICAL! She could make my day with her hello. The tone, the weight, the fascinating charm of her voice. I always praised her voice but she could never understand what I meant. For her, it was just the vibration of her vocal codes. She did not believe her voice to be that ‘complete’. For me, the voice could calm me. Not just calm, but also ‘tame’ me.
We broke up about 4 years ago and it was not so nice at the beginning. But eventually we got matured enough to accept things as is. Now we are in good terms but such a shame that we don’t keep in touch.
Anyways, back to the point, It’s amazing what different tones of voice could heal/ arouse feelings irrespective of what they are spoken. Lusty hushes, lullaby hummings, angry groans, sad whispers etc.
I think women have mastered these areas than men who are not so good with voice controlling. They use the tongue than the vocal codes to impress the opposite sex. If I were a girl, I think I’d rather be calmed by a voice, than a word.
NB,
When I meant “They use the tongue than the vocal codes to impress the opposite sex” I meant, the words made by tongue. Not otherwise though that too is kinda true! J
